What to Wear

When visiting the farms in the Yarra Valley we suggest you wear suitable footwear, for example enclosed shoes and not open toed sandals.

We also reccomend bringing a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sometimes intense Australian sun.

When picking at the farms, most locations will provide buckets or punnets for you to pick straight into, however you are usually welcome to bring your own larger containers in case you want to take large bulk amounts home with you.

You may also like to bring a large insulated cooler or esky with ice to take your freshly picked produce home.  Fruits like cherries and berries deteriorate quickly if they are not cooled down immediately after being picked

Leaving your beautiful freshly picked fruit in the hot car will lead to disappointment.

KEEP IT COOL.
